Synopsis / Sinopsis:Two old and dear friends, Cacho and El Negro, take a car trip through a lonely side road, unexpectedly they are stranded in the middle of nowhere. The car breaking down presents the problem of deciding who will go for help. They decide to solve the situation, through an “innocent” competition; but slowly, they will enter a universe of infinite competitions because for these two friends the important thing is not to win, but to make the other guy lose.
Dos viejos y entrañables amigos- Cacho y El Negro- realizan un viaje en auto por una solitaria carretera provincial, cuándo inesperadamente su auto se descompone y quedan varados en medio de la nada. Para decidir quién de los dos irá a pie por ayuda se adentrarán en una “inocente” competencia, donde lo importante no es ganar: lo importante es que el otro pierda.

Director’s Bio / Bio del Director: Magalí Bayón was born in Ramos Mejía in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1980.  She has made several short films and works professionally as Director, Artistic Director and also in as teacher. She is currently working on her first feature film and continues her preparation in audiovisual teaching. Olimpiadas was the winner of the 2005 National Short Film Contest “Historias Breves”, sponsored by I.N.C.A.A., and has being part of several film festivals.

Magalí Bayón nació en Ramos Mejía (Buenos Aires, Argentina), en 1980. Se desempeña profesionalmente en las áreas de dirección, dirección artística, y en el ámbito de la docencia. Actualmente se encuentra desarrollando su primer largometraje. Olimpíadas resultó ganador del Concurso Nacional de Cortometrajes 2005 “Historias Breves”, promovido por el I.N.C.A.A., y ha participado en numerosos festivales internacionales.
