In the Sierra Maestra, María Consuelo asks her daughter to relieve her and take over the responsibility of caring for three elderly women and her older sister, who suffers from intellectual disability. The daughter’s decision to leave home and become independent generates a conflict between them that will reveal feelings of dependence and guilt.

En la Sierra Maestra, María Consuelo pide a su hija que la alivie y asuma la responsabilidad de cuidar a tres ancianas y a su hermana mayor, que sufre de discapacidad intelectual. La decisión de la hija de salir de casa e independizarse genera un conflicto entre ellos que revelará sentimientos de dependencia y culpabilidad.

Paula Andrea Murcia Restrepo (Colombia, 1983) graduated with a degree specializing in Documentary  from the EICTV (International Film School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba). She has worked as a scriptwriter in films such as In the Name of the Daughter (Tania Hermida, 2011), has been assistant director and has produced several audiovisuals. In recent years, she has started directing short films. She has worked for FOX Colombia, among other companies. Her documentary Soon It Will Be Night (2015), is her thesis degree at the EICTV.
